Local service. Straightforward rentals.
DS Trailer Rentals is a family owned and operated business rooted in Orangevale, California. We founded this company with a simple mission: to provide our neighbors and local professionals with a higher standard of trailer rental. Our fleet is built on a foundation of reliability, transparency, and preventative maintenance. When you call us, you are speaking directly to the owners who take personal pride in every unit that leaves our lot.
We believe that a trailer rental should be a complete solution rather than just a piece of equipment. This is why we have eliminated hidden fees and add-on costs by including everything you need for a successful haul in our standard daily rates. Every car hauler and utility trailer in our fleet is fully stocked with professional grade gear, including 12k winches, Vulcan ratchet and axle straps, snatch blocks, and recovery tools. We even provide the adjustable hitch and electrical adapters so that the only thing you need to bring to the appointment is your tow truck.
Safety and reliability are the pillars of how we operate at DS Trailer Rentals. We perform deep quarterly inspections on every unit and track mileage meticulously to stay ahead of manufacturer recommended maintenance intervals. To provide our customers with even more peace of mind, we have upgraded our heavy duty trailers to 14-ply tires to better handle the demands of the road and reduce the risk of hazards. Whether you are a contractor needing a dependable flat deck for a job site or a weekend warrior hauling a new project car home, you can count on equipment that is as ready to work as you are.
Our commitment to honesty and hard work extends beyond our rental fleet and into the community we serve. We are proud to support local events, fundraisers, and parades because we believe in being more than just a vendor; we want to be a partner in Orangevale’s growth. We take the time to personally walk every customer through their rental to ensure they are comfortable and confident with the equipment before they hit the road. Thank you for considering DS Trailer Rentals for your next project, and we look forward to helping you get the job done right.

Common Questions
Everything you need to know before booking.
Everything you need to haul safely! We believe in providing a complete, ready-to-work solution. Depending on the trailer, your rental includes heavy-duty 12k winches (with batteries), top-of-the-line Vulcan straps, E-track systems, adjustable wheel chocks, and even the right hitch if you need it. It is all included upfront so you can get hitched up and hit the road with confidence.
For almost our entire fleet, your standard, valid everyday driver's license is all you need. The only exception is our heavy-duty 18ft Summit Equipment Gravity Tilt (14k GVWR). Because of its weight class, we strictly require a Class A commercial license for that specific unit.
To lock in your trailer for your specific dates, we require a $50 non-refundable reservation hold. We also require a $150 security deposit at the time of your rental. This deposit is fully refundable when you return the trailer, assuming there are no damages or issues.
To make sure we give you our full attention and get you set up right the first time, all pick-ups and drop-offs are by appointment only. Just let us know what time works best for your schedule when you book!
You just need to bring yourself, your tow vehicle, a valid driver's license, and proof of current auto insurance for the vehicle you are towing with. We will help you get hitched up, walk you through the gear, and get you on the road.
You are going to want our 20ft Eagle Gravity Tilt Deck. It features 4-inch drop axles and a super smooth, low-angle incline specifically designed for exotics, low-clearance cars, and track toys. Pair that with the included 12k winch, and you can pull your car up safely without even turning the key.
Absolutely. For wide-track vehicles, lifted trucks, and rock crawlers, our 20ft DOF (Drive-Over Fender) trailer is the way to go. It is a crawler-style deck built specifically to handle wider footprints, and it comes fully equipped with heavy-duty Vulcan straps and rear support jacks.
You bet. Our 6x10 Enclosed Wells Cargo trailer is completely weather-proof and secure. It features a rear ramp door and an E-track system, and we even throw in a professional hand cart and straps to make moving boxes, sensitive cargo, or business inventory a piece of cake.

I rented the Eagle Trailer Mfg 18ft Car Trailer with DS Trailer Rentals, LLC. Communication was great, price was spot on, and equipment worked like it should. The included extras (tie downs, D ring attachments, trailer mounted winch) are a great bonus. I will be using them from now on for any trailer needs.

Working with DS Trailer Rentals is always an absolute pleasure, and a huge part of that comes down to dealing with the owner, Drew. He makes the entire rental process seamless, hassle-free, and incredibly professional from start to finish. His trailers are consistently in perfect working order—exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and ready for the road. What really sets Drew apart is how thoroughly prepared he keeps his fleet; he supplies everything you could possibly need to strap down and haul any type of car or heavy equipment safely. On top of all that, his pricing is extremely budget-friendly and gives you unbeatable value for the quality of service you get. If you need a reliable trailer for vehicle transport or equipment hauling, Drew at DS Trailer Rentals is the absolute best in the business. Highly recommended! I kept it for a day. The trailer was in really good condition. I had a smooth experience with the staff. Everything was simple from the time I booked it. The pickup was simple and well organized. The drop-off was just as easy as the pickup. They made it easy to know what was going on.
